Fulfilling our social responsibilities has always been a key objective. We realize that as a leading provider of environmental solutions, we have both responsibilities and opportunities to ensure people have access to at least the basic amenities of life – whether they are among the poor and underprivileged or victims of natural disasters or other members of our society. We take great pains to see that we do our bit through a number of social programs. In doing so we further strengthen our foundation toward becoming a truly excellent global corporation.
We contribute to the social wellbeing and economic development of the communities where we do business.This hugely benefits the communities and helps enhance our performance. Besides pursuing our business goals, we believe in being a responsible corporate citizen by serving the society at large.
We provide medical aid by means of two free homeopathy dispensaries in the name of Srimati Jashvantrani Luthra. Since its inception in 1981 it has been providing medical services to around 1400 patients every month at subsidised costs. For the health and safety of communities the Luthra group has also joined hands with the Civic Department of Surat to provide water supply systems and fund the development of Drainage systems in nearby villages.
The GEPIL Group runs the Luthra Institute of Management for management education as a social responsibility for Surat.The group also provides scholarships for children from families of modest means for engineering and technology.A secondary school for the Hindi speaking community has been started at Ramnagar, Adajan in the name of Shardarani Rameshchandra Luthra Secondary Education School.
We provide free accomodation for Senior Citizens at the “Vrudhha Ashram” Vesu.
Our commitment to improving our surroundings extends to spiritual causes as well . The GEPIL Group has built a spectacular temple of “Shri Mata Vaishno Devi” respecting the tradition and culture of the communit., The temple -a first of its kind in Surat, giving an enchanting and divine experience to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi’s devotees also has a Shri Ram Durbar, the Shivji Parivar, Ganeshji and other Hindu Gods.
