Girish Luthra is the chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of GEPIL; a leader in the field of environment solutions since the last two decades, he is the key architect of GEPIl’s strategic vision. His keen interest in Environmental Protection & Pollution Control related issues has helped develop and commercialize various techniques in this field. He is a technology & research oriented technocrat and has contributed significantly to both the growth of the industry and of the company.

International Experience in Environment:-

• o Invited by "World Environment Centre, USA" for environmental study to USA in 1994.
• o Invited by Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), Japan for the program on Industry and Environmental Protection for India (IDEN) at Yokohama, Japan in February 1999.
• o Invited by USAID and CII to visit U.S.A. for “Tour on ISO-14001” in May 1999.
• o Part of delegation with Minister for Environment to Canada in March 2000 for energy and CDM Projects.
• o Invitation to Switzerland Fhbb, Workshop on Hazardous Waste (H.W) Management in May, 2003.
• o Invited by UK Trade & Investment UK for Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) Inward mission to the UK.

Environmental Contribution:-

• o Project implementation with "UNIDO" on Waste Minimization and Energy Conservation in project “DESIRE”.
• o Introduced First Process House in country with out Thermic fluid heaters i.e. direct gas firing systems.
• o Started "Waste Minimization Group" as Founder Secretary.
• o Started, as its Jt. convener, The Pandesara Green Environment & Water Welfare Co-operative Society for bringing out awareness in the industry on Pollution issues. Presently Vice President of this Society.
• o Chairman, Environment & Ecology Committee of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry since ‘97-98.
• o Member of Core Group on Environment of CII (Western Region–Gujarat Office).

Technical Contribution:-

• o Patent Registered – Research on “Direct gas fired and steam blended loop ager system” and awarded “Technology Day invention award 2000” by NRDC and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India for same.
• o Presented a paper on “Half tone multi color printing on fabrics” in 3rd International Conference of The Textiles Association.
• o Wrote a book and published successfully in 1994 on “Process House Laboratory – Hand Book”.
• o Regularly chairing sessions: Different Conferences and Seminar, Specially on technical issues.

A civil engineer with more then 33 years of experience in the field of development of Environmental Infrastructure which includes Hazardous Waste Management Facilities, Water Canals and Dams etc. He retired as an Executive Engineer, Canals, Narmada Project with Government of Gujarat. Having made a significant contributon to the construction of Narmada Canal in Gujarat he has deep knowledge in civil Works. At GEPIL he oversees Design, Construction and implementation of the Environmental Infrastructure Projects.

Kamalvijay R. Tulsian is an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer from M.S University, Baroda. He has been associated with Gujarat Enviro Protection and Infrastructure Ltd as a Director for more than 7 years and has experience in development, operation and management of Environmental Infrastructure including Hazardous Waste Management facilities, Common Effluent Treatment Plants etc.
He is the President of Pandesara Green Environment & Water Welfare Co-op. Society Ltd. and Committee Member of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Textile Panel (Gujarat). He is also the chairman of Pandesara Infrastructure Ltd a SPV for development of Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Pandesara.
